We have been celebrating this week following a period of expansion for our family law division, having experienced significant demand for family legal services over the past year which has led to rapid growth for the business.
Speaking of the family law division, Head of Family Law at Poole Alcock, Richard Barratt, has said:
“Demand for our family law services has boomed over the last couple of years. But this increase has not been without its own challenges, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The legal sector in particular has faced a number of roadblocks, particularly for cases that require court proceedings. Nevertheless, the industry has, in my opinion, adapted tremendously well and with courts throughout the UK now embracing virtual proceedings, this practice looks likely to be taken forward and utilised beyond the pandemic.”
To ensure the Poole Alcock team is able to support families throughout the area with their legal proceedings, the team has welcomed a number of new members (both qualified solicitors and trainees), alongside opening new offices and unveiling a dedicated family website.
The family department actively encourages law graduates to join the team. They are supported in achieving real-world experience of working on a variety of cases, gaining a solid foundation in the legal sector that that is crucial to their career as solicitors.
Trainee Solicitor, Chloe Burgis, has said of her experience of working in Poole Alcock:
“The family law team has provided a huge amount of support to me in the first stages of my career. I have been entrusted with many matters that have helped me to develop my skills and understanding of what it takes to be a first-class solicitor like my colleagues.
During my time here I have witnessed first-hand the excellent service that the family law team provides, and their commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for clients. Their growth is testament to their dedication.”
