National Grief Awareness Week 2023
2nd December – 8th December
National Grief Awareness Week is a compassionate and important time dedicated to raising the awareness of grief, providing the necessary support to those who are grieving and encouraging a better understanding of the process.
Grief is a natural response to the loss of someone and aims to break the stigma surrounding this personal experience we all go through at some time in our lives.
For many coping with the death of someone it can be painful, emotional, spiritually and physically draining and we all deal with it in many different ways.
Whilst going through this process the need to focus on practical matters seem irrelevant and rightly so but at such a sad time financial matters can become important to deal with.
Here at Poole Alcock we have a dedicated team who deal with all matters relating to the finances after someone has died. Our team can take away the anxiety of dealing with third parties, financial institutions and often difficult family members. Acting impartially and professionally, we deliver a sympathetic process to assist in attending to matters that some people find hard to deal with.
If you have recently lost a loved one, and you know financial matters are inevitable, then please do come to us and we can discuss “Probate” and talk through the process of dealing with someone’s affairs once they have died. An initial chat can often alleviate challenges that you need not have to go through.
It is also a time to reflect on one’s own life and consider drawing up a Will to leave instructions for someone else to follow when you die yourself. Preparing your own affairs yourself, helps the ones left behind to be able to deal with matters.
Our team here at Poole Alcock can assist in drawing up a Will for you, your spouse, partner and discuss fully all the financial and practical implications imposed when you sadly pass away.
Grief Awareness Week is a time to observe our own grief or others around us and maybe look to best help our loved ones in the future.
Should you have any questions or would like to meet with one of our specialised Solicitors then please do get in touch, we are very much here to help you.
